About Tsangpo River Cruise

Tsangpo, the Brahmaputra, the name Tsangpo draws its soul from the upper reaches of the Brahmaputra River, where it is revered as the Yarlung Tsangpo—a timeless river that weaves together landscapes, cultures, and civilizations across distant horizons. Majestic and ever-changing, the Brahmaputra journeys over 2,900 kilometres, breathing life into Assam’s fertile plains, sculpting golden sandbars, and nurturing a world of rare beauty and abundance. Along its banks thrives extraordinary biodiversity, from the iconic one-horned rhinoceros of Kaziranga National Park to the serene, soul-stirring expanse of Majuli—the world’s largest river island, where monasteries echo with devotion and age-old arts and crafts flourish in quiet grace. As the river glides past historic towns, emerald tea gardens, and vibrant riverine communities, it tells stories of tradition, resilience, and harmony with nature. It is within this living tapestry that Tsangpo River Cruise invites you—not merely to travel, but to feel, to connect, and to belong. Each journey is thoughtfully curated to immerse you in the river’s enchanting rhythm—where the whisper of the breeze, the colours of handwoven textiles, the warmth of local hospitality, and the untamed beauty of land and water come together in perfect poetry. Here, the Brahmaputra is not just a river—it is an experience, a memory, and a story waiting to be lived.

Superb host, incredible views. We saw some migratory birds on the river bank on our cruise. Must do for people visiting Jorhat, even if on a stopover!

Dirty toilets, dirty water, and no manners from the owner. Food was falling on and under the tables, so the place was very unhygienic. You will feel like vomiting if you enter the toilet. Especially for women, it is impossible to use.
I went with my family, but it was a complete disappointment. The owner was rude, and even after waiting for hours, the food was not served. People were drinking alcohol there even during the daytime. Not a family-friendly place at all.

Went there with my extended family for an evening and wow what a special evening it was ! Snacks and Lunch on the ferry and gazing wild horses, birds during the journey was so memorable. Plucking Bogori from an isolated island was icing on the cake. I would highly recommend it for taking for a day or to cruise during sunset and enjoy riverine beauty.

It's an excellent experience on Nimai Ghat, where you can go for a cruise ride on Brahmaputra especially during sunset enjoying music and food. Staff is courteous and best time to visit is during winters. Even river side location is good for picnic and get together.
